2 · The school

Eton College, est. 1440

Founded in 1440 by King Henry VI, Eton College is one of the most famous schools in the world, a short walk from Windsor and about 15 minutes from London Heathrow. It has educated many British prime ministers, world leaders, Nobel laureates and members of the royal family.

In summer, students live and learn among historic buildings and modern facilities, including the purpose-built Jafar Hall lecture theatre and the Sports and Aquatics Centre. The programme is run independently of the school by a British Council–accredited summer school provider.

3 · The summer programme

Learn by leading

In the Global Leaders Simulation, students work in teams to build a business through ten simulated years. They pitch to investors, negotiate deals and handle a crisis when plans go wrong, and every choice has a consequence.

Lessons are interactive, covering subject concepts alongside critical thinking, leadership, teamwork and English expression. At the end of each week, students present their projects to teachers and peers in Time to Shine.

It suits students who want to understand how businesses work, enjoy decisions with no single right answer, or want to become more confident speakers.
