| 1 | Check what your child needs | Use the GOV.UK visa checker. Most students either need a Standard Visitor visa or an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). |
| 2 | Book and pay the deposit | Include your child’s passport number on the booking form. We then email a confirmation letter, an invoice and a visa support letter. |
| 3 | Apply online | Apply on GOV.UK up to three months before travel. Visa applicants book an appointment at a visa application centre to give fingerprints and a photo. |
| 4 | Wait for the decision | Most visitor visa decisions arrive within three weeks, but it can take longer in summer. ETA decisions are usually much quicker. |
| 5 | Travel | Bring the passport used for the application, plus copies of our letters and the parental consent letter. |
We recommend applying at least two months before the course starts.
3 · Documents
Visa officers need to see that the trip is genuine, that your child will be well looked after, and that they will return home after the course.
Students under 18 must show that suitable arrangements have been made for their travel, reception and care in the UK, and that a parent or guardian consents to the trip.
4 · If something goes wrong
If a visa is refused and the application was made correctly, we refund the fees paid, less the deposit, when we receive the original refusal letter.
If the visa is still being processed on the course start date, we refund the fees paid, less the deposit, or give a full credit note for the following year.
