2 · The university

A world-class university in the heart of London

Lessons take place at King’s College London’s Guy’s Campus, close to London Bridge and the River Thames. Students learn in a world-renowned university setting, with much of central London on the doorstep.

London brings together history, politics, finance, fashion, art, theatre, technology and cultures from around the world. Students discover the capital’s famous sights, and also experience it the way a young Londoner does.

The programme suits older, more independent students: they enjoy the excitement of living in the city within a structured, supervised residential programme.

3 · The summer programme

Learn in the classroom, experience it beyond

Students have 15 hours of English each week, taught in the mornings so afternoons are free for London. Lessons go beyond traditional language learning: students communicate, collaborate, question ideas and think independently.

Wherever possible, lessons link to what students see that afternoon. They might explore British government and debate before visiting Westminster, or study British history and identity before seeing it first-hand.

Lessons develop
Communication · confidence and fluency in real situations
Critical thinking · questioning and evaluating ideas
Leadership · collaboration and decision-making
Presentation skills · speaking with confidence
Academic skills · discussion, research, debate and writing
