2 · The campus

In the heart of Cambridge

Cambridge Summer School is based on a city-centre campus with purpose-built accommodation, an auditorium and seminar rooms, so students live and study within walking distance of Cambridge’s historic colleges, museums, gardens and the River Cam.

It suits students who are beginning to think seriously about university, want to explore different subjects before making study choices, and want a taste of university-style independence within a supportive structure. The programme is British Council accredited.

3 · The summer programme

Your first step towards university

Students explore an academic subject in greater depth through university-style seminars, projects and discussion, before university applications and subject choices become important. Industry Experiences, guest speakers, fieldwork and debate take learning beyond the classroom.

Each week builds to Time to Shine, where students develop a project and present it to the whole school. They leave with greater confidence in academic English, a clearer sense of direction, and a detailed reference letter from a tutor who has worked closely with them.
